Car Classifications & Descriptions

Mini-Cups - 1/2 scale racing, Jr. & Sr Divisions.. providing an inexpensive racing experience for all ages. If you’ve always wanted to race but don’t have the experience, time and/or pit crew, Mini-Cups are the answer. Honda GX 390 4 Stroke, OHV Single Cylinder, Displacement 389 cc, (stock) 13 hp. Fast and allot of fun, fully adjustable racing machines. Scheduled almost every weekend for competition, and a perfect size for the 1/3rd mile oval. Check out the ‘Scale Nationals’ near the end of the WCIS Season !

4-Cylinder WASP - This is our “Entry level” division at WCIS. The class that most teams like to begin racing in because of the simplicity and support from fellow competitors. Although it can still be very competitive, it is designed with the intent to allow rookie drivers the opportunity to enjoy the Short Track racing action on the 1/3rd mile asphalt oval. Relatively stock vehicles, prepared with safety guidelines, to help teach driver control. Over competitive drivers and vehicles are subject to rule amendments to help equalize the competition. This is a fun class with the thrill of competition at every turn.

Street Stock - New for 2008, the Street Stock (Pure Stock) division will utilize the LMP rules to develop another class designed to entertain fans and provide a stepping stone to the more competitive SST Super Stock. Economical to build and easy to maintain, rookie teams are encouraged to investigate this option. Veterans looking to have fun at the BullRing are also welcome to compete. Stock Car Racing is a great way for the family and friends to have lots of fun !

TQ Midgets - Also known as 3/4 Midgets... Open wheel, extremely fast, scale sprint cars. The Casey Midgets visit the BullRing regularly to thrill the fans with there quick pace and on edge competition. Check’em out!

SST Super Stocks - One of the most competitive divisions of full bodied Stock Cars in the region. As of 2008, governed by the SST Organization, this group of competitive teams will only continue to grow back stronger each season. Uniting the rules & regulations of area motor sport facilities to enhance team race ability. Keeping with the nostalgia of the Winston Cup cars of the 80’s, these boys are sure to thrill the fans with there “door handle to door handle” competition

SST Modifieds - The fastest growing division of asphalt open wheel modified teams in the northeast, the flagship of the SST Organization. Teams range from rookies to seasoned veterans, competing at top speeds over 100mph. Don’t blink...because your bound to miss some of the action! Teams gather from across the region...New York...Pennsylvania... Canada and beyond, for the thrill of victory and the chance to become the next SST Modified Series Champion ! Check them out weekly, and for the SST Mod Special events; Labor Day Weekend and The Fall Shootout in October


ROC Modifieds - The “Mighty Race of Champion Modifieds” visit the BullRing for a Father’s Day Weekend special, competing for a guaranteed qualify position at the RoC race in Oswego. Thunder on wheels... these Open Wheeled machines click off 13 second laps as they manipulate traffic for position. The biggest names in Modified racing converge in Perry NY for the biggest special event this side of the Genesee River ! Stay in your seat, because the last 25 laps of this race is going to thrill you till the checkered flag drops. After the race, visit your favorite team pit side for a recap of the race and personalized autograph!
