The phone rang off the hook from race starved race fans, hoping for a glimpse of drying sun. The remnants of tropical depression Ernesto ripped rain and wind through the Perry motor sports facility, leaving behind downed signage and an infield lake that dissipated slowly. Disappointedly, the racing events of Labor Day weekend had to be postponed.

Coca-Cola 100, SST Modified Tour

Labor Day Party Weekend has long been a great part of the WCIS Promotional program, beginning the night prior to the big race with music, party and free camping. Teams will be able to tow in early, so to be ready Sunday morning for practice and qualifying. SST Tech begins at 10am with racing at 1pm (9/3/06).

06-07-06 Matt Hirschman looks forward to WCIS ROC race.

The biggest race of the year for Wyoming County International Speedway is the Race of Champions race. In 2005, twenty-nine top Modified teams came to compete in this 75 lap race. Eric Beers started on the pole and took the early lead. Beers would relinquish the top spot to Tom McGrath on a restart. McGrath held the point until late in the race. By Dan Hall
